Information this site handles

Website visits and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 through Site Kit by Google to understand visits and how pages are used. The service may process page views, interaction events, referring pages, and browser or device information. Google may use cookies or similar identifiers for analytics when the visitor accepts the Analytics category in the cookie banner.

The Analytics category is off by default. If you reject Analytics, Site Kit’s Consent Mode communicates the denied choice to Google without storing Analytics cookies. Google may use limited cookieless signals for aggregate reporting and modelling. Google describes its processing in its Privacy Policy.

Comments

Where comments are available, WordPress processes the information entered with a comment, such as a name, email address, website address if provided, and the comment itself. WordPress also processes an IP address and browser user-agent information for moderation and security. Approved comments and the displayed name are public; the email address is not displayed publicly.

Email messages

If you email info@ivandorian.com, the message and associated email details are used to read and respond to your enquiry. This site does not currently offer a contact form, public account registration, or newsletter signup.

Technical and security information

The hosting provider processes technical information needed to deliver, protect, and troubleshoot the website. This may include IP addresses, request details, timestamps, and error information in server or security logs. The hosting provider determines its own log retention under its service and privacy terms.

Cookies

WordPress uses essential cookies for site operation and administration. Analytics cookies are used only after a visitor accepts the Analytics category. WordPress may also offer cookies to remember comment details if a commenter selects that option. Login cookies are used by administrators and other authenticated users.

Who receives information

Google receives the Analytics information described above, subject to the visitor’s cookie choice and the Consent Mode behavior described in this notice. The website’s hosting provider handles technical information required to operate the site. Email messages are handled by the services that deliver and store email for the site.

If the site later adds advertising, newsletter tools, or embedded third-party media, this notice will be updated to describe those services.

How long information is kept

Comments are stored in WordPress until they are removed. Email messages are retained in the mailbox while needed to respond to and manage the correspondence. Technical server and security logs follow the hosting provider’s retention practices. Google Analytics data is retained according to the settings in the site’s Analytics property and Google’s applicable terms.

Your choices and privacy rights

You can accept or reject the Analytics category using the cookie banner. You can also email info@ivandorian.com with a privacy question or request. Depending on the laws that apply to you, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority.

Changes to this notice

This notice may be updated when the site’s features or data practices change. The date at the top will show when it was last revised.
